Mary A. Metcalfe holds an Honours Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Master of Science in Communication Management from Syracuse University. She is a former Senior Editor of the Statistics Canada Daily/Le Quotidien; managing editor of Government of Canada reports on disabilities, violence against women, and child well-being, among others.

For the past 15 years, Mary has edited dozens of fiction and non-fiction genres ranging from historical fiction to Women’s Fiction to aviation history, law enforcement, Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation, plus numerous memoirs for retired doctors, lawyers, pilots, and even a rock group that opened for the Rolling Stones in their day.

She has recently successfully applied her experience to ghost-writing. On a lighter side, she is currently editing a series of middle grade stories for young hockey enthusiasts and a definitely more mature series for adult readers.
