Children’s Book Layout

Stage 1 – Fill Out the Formatting Questionnaire.

This gives us all the information we require for children’s book printing and formatting, including the technical aspects such as trim size and who you are printing or publishing through. You can also include a general outline of your story so that our formatting team can choose fonts and styles relevant to your genre or book.

* If you choose a package which includes paperback formatting, then we’ll start with the paperback first before moving on to the eBook.

Stage 2 – Booking Your Package

Purchase your package and choose any of our fantastic extras. Once your payment clears, and we receive all necessary information/illustrations you’ll be given a start date. This is the date we begin working on your formatting.

* Please note; a 50% deposit is required at time of booking and we can’t start your order until we receive all necessary information and order requirements including the formatting questionnaire.

 

* All images/illustrations supplied must be a minimum of 300dpi and it is the author’s responsibility to supply images which are suited to their desired trim size.

Stage 3 – Proofing

We’ll send over the formatted file/s for you to approve the layout and design. You’ll receive the first proof round within ten business days of your order beginning.

Stage 4 – Revisions

If any revisions need to be made, we’ll make those changes and re-send the files for your final approval. We include free formatting/layout/design revisions with all of our formatting packages until you’re satisfied.

* Please note; You’ll receive the first 10 proofing edits or author changes free, but after that, any typos/edits/changes made by the author are charged at $1 per edit per format.

Stage 5 – Final Files

Once the formatting has been approved, we’ll then complete any and all other extras/formats which you have purchased with your children’s formatting/layout package. Then once the final balance has been paid, we’ll send you the final files ready for uploading to your printer.
