Marilyn is a professional editor and a graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Editing Certificate program. She has edited hundreds of fiction and nonfiction manuscripts in multiple genres and has worked with authors worldwide.

Before turning to full-time editing and writing, Marilyn worked in IT for thirty years. During this time, she wrote and edited many sales proposals that won new clients and hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue. She is an ultra-organized, independent worker who meets deadlines, a lifelong learner, an avid reader, and a researcher.

Marilyn loves to help new authors make their stories shine. She encourages and teaches along the way and takes care to preserve the author’s voice. In addition to copyediting, she specializes in manuscript evaluations and developmental editing. She has an affinity for thrillers, fantasy, horror, middle-grade, and young adult books.
