Stage 1 – Children’s Book Questionnaire (2 minutes)

A quick, friendly quiz to shape your package and quote. We’ll ask:

• Do you need illustrations? (Essentials vs Premium)
• Full-Page or Full Spread?
• How many illustrations (start at 10 + cover; add more if you want)
• Any add-ons (upload/setup, eBook, editing, hardcover, rush)
• Your timeline + contact info

No printer details or trim size needed yet. We collect specs later, only if you proceed.

Stage 2 – Booking Your Package

We send your price + estimated timeline. A 50% deposit reserves your start date. We begin once we have the basics (manuscript + any supplied art or illustration notes).

Images you provide should be 300 dpi and sized for the final trim; if we’re illustrating, we handle that.

Stage 3 – Illustration (if included)

1. First sketch (character/scene) → approval
2. Color test → style approval
3. Full sketch set (PDF of all pages/covers) → review/approve
4. Final coloring of all illustrations

Major changes to characters or key elements should be requested during the sketch stage. Once coloring starts, significant changes may incur an extra fee.

Stage 4 – Formatting & Proofing

We build your book files.

• Print-Ready Layout for KDP/IngramSpark
• First proof within 10 business days of formatting start
• Categories & keywords: Publisher Rocket-assisted research + our picks

Stage 5 – Revisions

We tweak layout/design until you’re happy.

Stage 6 – Final Files

Once everything is approved and your balance is paid, we’ll deliver your press-ready PDFs (interior + cover), fully compliant with your chosen platform(s).

Once your formatting has been approved, we’ll complete any extras or additional formats you’ve ordered with your children’s book package. After the final balance is paid, you’ll receive your press-ready files, ready to upload directly to your printer or platform.
