This week on Indie Publishing Group we have an author interview with the lovely and talented Taisha DeMay!

Hi, Taisha Demay welcome to the Indie Publishing Group website! Introduce yourself to us. Tell everyone who you are, where you’re from, what you enjoy doing, hobbies and interests.

Hello, my name is Taisha Demay. I am the author of three books, ranging from contemporary romance to erotica. My hobbies are as follows, I love black and white movies, I knit and crochet, do crafts. My interests range from watching documentaries, British television, and reading old western and detective novels.

When did you start writing and why?

I actually started writing at the age of sixteen, when I published my first article in a popular magazine. I write because I find it takes me out of myself and into the stories and characters I create on the page.

Which is your favorite book you have written and what gave you the idea for it?

The favorite book I’ve ever written would be my latest, Rumor Control. Reason being is the male lead is a veteran and wounded warrior, and is somewhat of a recluse like I am. I actually got the idea in 2012 while working on another story in which the characters were introduced in when I first began my writing journey.

How did you come up with the title for your book?

The title for this story was a line that was used while I served in the Army. Gossip was referred to as, rumor control.

Who helped you with the cover? Or did you design it yourself? What was your inspiration for your cover design?

My cover was designed by a wonderful cover artist named, Olivia. I found her on the website: Fiverr.

What are some of the themes of your story?

The themes of my story would be, misconceptions, misunderstandings, redemption, forgiveness, and love.

What’s your process when you sit down and decide to start writing a book and do you have a system?

Not really, just an idea basically. And once that happens, I do whatever research and information gathering there is to do, then I turn on my music, or background noise, which usually consists of the television and I start writing.

Who are some of your favorite characters and why?

I have several, but I would say the one in my latest book, Archer Lincoln, is my favorite because he’s misunderstood by the people around him.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

There are so many, but I will only tag what I call my go-to authors. The ones I read when I need a good laugh or a smile. Liliana Hart, Delilah Devlin, and Tiana Laveen.

Have you got anything you’re working on now?

Always. I’m in the process of completing a Paranormal Romance entitled: The Love of a Bear.

If you could have any superpowers what would they be?

I think it would be the ability to time travel.

If you could travel to any location in the world where would you go?

It would be back in Switzerland; it’s a really beautiful place.

Where do you hope to be in 5 years?

Alive basically. Lol! I would say, better than I am now.
